Congressman Juan Ciscomani, who represents Arizona’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, posted several updates on his official Twitter account on August 26, 2025. The posts highlighted remembrance for fallen service members, a legislative initiative concerning water security, and recognition of an educational institution in his district.
On the fourth anniversary of the attack at Abbey Gate in Kabul during the withdrawal from Afghanistan, Ciscomani stated: “Four years ago, 13 American heroes (and 170 civilians) were murdered by terrorists at Abbey Gate in Kabul during the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. Today, we honor their sacrifice and remember all who gave their lives in service to our nation.” (August 26, 2025).
Later that day, Ciscomani announced a congressional initiative: ” TODAY: I’m proud to announce the relaunch of the Colorado River Caucus in the 119th Congress with co-chair @RepJoeNeguse, bringing together the seven Western Basin States to protect the river and secure a strong water future for all “ (August 26, 2025).
In another post recognizing local achievement, he wrote: “I’m proud to see @BASISTucsNorth, a charter school serving students in grades 5 through 12 in AZ06, named the #1 high school in the country! Congrats to the students, teachers, and families on this outstanding achievement for our community! “ (August 26, 2025).
Ciscomani has been serving as representative since replacing Ann Kirkpatrick in January 2023. He won re-election against Kirsten Engel both in November 2022—by a narrow margin—and again in November 2024. In each contest he secured just over half of votes cast.
