However, it was his work, Jack Ruby’s Kitchen Sink, later republished as Revenge of the Saguaro, that garnered significant attention. Miller’s writing prowess extended beyond books, as he contributed articles to esteemed publications like the New York Times, Washington Post, The New Yorker, and Rolling Stone, among others. Despite his roots in the nation’s capital, Miller’s connection to Tucson, Arizona, became profound. It was in Tucson where he spent his final years, passing away on December 19, 2022. Throughout his life, Miller’s literary endeavors captured the essence of diverse cultures and landscapes, leaving an indelible mark on the world of travel writing.
