Christopher Edwin Duncan died on September 6, 2019, after battling brain cancer. He was 38 years old. His death was a loss to both the baseball community and his hometown of Tucson, Arizona.

Chris Duncan was born on May 5, 1981, in Tucson. He grew up in a baseball family. His father, Dave Duncan, was a former MLB catcher and pitching coach. Chris showed promise in baseball from a young age. He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the first round of the 1999 MLB Draft.

Chris made his MLB debut with the Cardinals in 2005. He played as a left fielder and first baseman. In 2006, he hit 22 home runs and helped the Cardinals win the World Series. His career with the Cardinals lasted until 2009.

After retiring from baseball, Chris became a radio host in St. Louis. He was known for his humor and knowledge of the game. Despite his career taking him away from Tucson, he maintained strong ties to his hometown. He participated in local baseball events and visited often.

In 2012, Chris was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He fought the disease while continuing his radio career. His resilience inspired many. Chris Duncan’s life and career left a lasting impact on both St. Louis and Tucson. He is remembered for his contributions to baseball and his connection to his community.
