Former Salpointe Catholic pitcher Liam O’Brien’s Hawaii team falls to Cal Poly in NCAA baseball

Former Salpointe Catholic High School standout Liam O’Brien and his current college squad, the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors, dropped a 7-3 decision to the Cal Poly Mustangs in their NCAA Division I baseball matchup on Sunday, March 8, at 1:05 p.m.

Les Murakami Stadium hosted the contest, marking the third meeting between the two teams this season. The Rainbow Warriors lost their previous game against the Mustangs on Saturday, March 7, by a score of 10-7.

O’Brien pitched 2.2 innings, giving up one earned run, walking three, and striking out one.

The Rainbow Warriors are set to face the Chaminade Silverswords next on Tuesday, March 10, at 6:35 p.m. at Les Murakami Stadium.
