The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) evaluated Amapa Import & Export in Tucson on May 15 for foodborne biological hazards, according to information from the FDA’s website.

The final findings showed that Amapa Import & Export did not need to make any corrective changes to its management practices.

The FDA regularly evaluates facilities nationwide to determine whether workplaces and products meet the standards set by FDA-regulated laws intended to protect public health. The results of these inspections are then made public.

According to its website, the FDA is a federal agency that oversees the safety and quality of human and animal drugs, biological products, medical devices and tobacco products from manufacturing through distribution.
