Christopher Knierim was born on November 5, 1987, in Tucson, Arizona. His parents supported his interest in figure skating from a young age. He began skating in Tucson and quickly showed promise.

Christopher paired with Alexa Scimeca, and they married in 2016. Together, they achieved great success in pair skating. They won three U.S. National Championships in 2015, 2018, and 2020. They also earned medals at international competitions, including the Four Continents Championships and Grand Prix events.

In 2018, Christopher and Alexa competed in the Winter Olympics. They helped the U.S. team win a bronze medal in the team event. This achievement was a highlight of their career and brought them recognition.

After retiring from competitive skating, Christopher focused on coaching and mentoring young skaters. He stayed connected to Tucson, often visiting and supporting local skating programs. His dedication to the sport and his hometown remained strong.
