Christopher Edwin Duncan was born on May 5, 1981, in Tucson, Arizona. His father, Dave Duncan, was a former Major League Baseball catcher and pitching coach. From an early age, Chris was deeply involved in baseball.
He played baseball in high school and demonstrated significant potential. The St. Louis Cardinals selected him in the first round of the 1999 MLB Draft. Duncan made his major league debut with the Cardinals in 2005.
The 2006 season was his most successful, during which he hit 22 home runs and contributed to the Cardinals’ World Series championship. He remained with the Cardinals until 2009, playing primarily as a left fielder and first baseman.
Following his playing career, Duncan transitioned to a career as a radio host in St. Louis, where he was recognized for his humor and extensive baseball knowledge.
He maintained a strong bond with his hometown of Tucson, frequently returning and participating in local baseball activities.
In 2012, Duncan was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Despite his illness, he continued his radio work while undergoing treatment. He passed away on September 6, 2019.
